He is a strategic advisor to the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights and the Business and Human Rights Country Risk Portal. Mike is the former head of private sector partnerships at Transparency International, and has written a number of publications related to assessing and managing human rights risks in the developing world.

Jan Michael Hess
Jan is Founder and CEO of Ecosummit and the Berlin-based consulting firm Mobile Economy GmbH. Ecosummit is the Smart Green Business Network connecting startups, investors and corporates to accelerate smart green innovation. Our goal is the global transformation to the Smart Green Economy by bringing cleantech to the mass market. Ecosummit Market will be an open online platform to support the marketing and business development of smart green startups. Since 2010, Jan produced 4 Smart Green Business Conferences in Berlin and Düsseldorf. He advises smart green startups and acts as Editor-in-chief of the Ecosummit Blog and Ecosummit TV. Prior to founding Mobile Economy in 2000, Jan worked for Pixelpark, Icon Medialab and Ciao as Strategic Planner, Project Manager and Head of Marketing and Sales. Jan holds a business degree from the University of Mannheim, lives in Berlin and is a big fan of Japan and Jazz. Ecosummit Berlin 2013 takes place on 4-5 June at the Radialsystem.

Uta Mühleis
Uta Mühleis is the founder and managing director of RESET. She studied environmental and development politics, and has worked in the digital media branch since the 1990s. Uta was a founding partner of an interactive media agency before leaving to join the management team of the design agency, Razorfish, where she worked in strategic development and client relations. Since 2002, she has utilized her expertise in digital and interactive media as a consultant for – among others – Fork Unstable Media. In 2007, she founded RESET – For a Better World, a leading information and action platform on the German-speaking web. Furthermore, she has served as one of the partners of the CN St.Gallen | The Refresh Company since 2005.

Alex Marashian
Alex Marashian is a writer, magazine editor, brand consultant and advertising creative. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of Benetton’s COLORS Magazine, is currently Editor-at-Large of Another Magazine, and collaborates with some of the world’s most fascinating brands. In addition to his editorial and commercial work, he is involved in projects in the fields of music, video and television. Alex was a co-producer of and songwriter for Pink Martini’s fourth studio album, Splendor in the Grass, which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Top 200. He also directed the award-winning music video for Pink Martini’s hit single, Sympathique.
